We spoke with one of the founders of the Kiawara market, located along the Nyeri – Nyahururu Highway. Kiawara has grown from a nearly non-existent market, into East Africa’s largest onion market. This market is responsible for 25% of Kenya’s onion sales.
The Problem
When Logos Consult approached us, they had a clear vision: to launch a new brand, Kiawara Onion, as Kenya’s premium source for high-quality onions and garlic. However, they faced a significant challenge in crafting a brand identity and messaging that could stand out in a competitive market. They needed an engaging narrative, a strong visual identity, and marketing materials to resonate with their target audience and communicate their unique value effectively. Brand Narrative
We crafted a compelling brand story that highlighted Kiawara Onion’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and local partnerships. This narrative became the backbone of their marketing efforts, effectively showcasing their unique selling points.
Tagline Development
To capture Kiawara Onion’s essence in a few words, we created the tagline: “The World’s Tastiest, Most Aromatic Onions.” This statement emphasized their product’s standout flavor and aroma.
Marketing Collateral
- We designed DL-sized flyers to introduce Kiawara Onion to the market, highlighting their products and why they stand out.
Developed content for digital marketing posters to encourage sales and drive engagement on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Brand Profile
We structured and wrote a professional brand profile, detailing their vision, mission, product offerings, and market positioning. This document served as a foundational piece for both internal alignment and external communication.
