At Pedigree Studios, we pride ourselves on crafting brands that tell unique and powerful stories. One of our recent projects involved working with D’Esturi Coffee, a brand under Marwagi Enterprises, to develop a coffee brand that reflects the heritage, quality, and sustainability of Kenya’s rich coffee tradition.

 

 

 

The Problem

Marcy Gikonyo, the director of D’Esturi Coffee, approached us with a clear vision: to create a brand that could help her showcase the exceptional quality of Kenyan coffee and its heritage. She needed a brand that not only stood out in the market but also embodied the story of her beans, sourced from the slopes of Mt. Kenya. The challenge was to create a brand that resonated with both local and global coffee lovers while uplifting the community of farmers, many of whom are women, that contribute to her coffee’s journey.

What We Did

We worked closely with Marcy to develop the core elements of D’Esturi Coffee’s brand. This included:

  • Brand Name: We helped craft the name “D’Esturi,” which reflects the Swahili word for “heritage,” perfectly encapsulating the brand’s commitment to tradition and quality.
  • Logo Design: A distinctive logo was created to symbolize the essence of D’Esturi Coffee—rooted in heritage and craftsmanship.
  • Brand Story: We developed a compelling narrative that shares the story of D’Esturi Coffee’s origins from the fertile soils of Mt. Kenya and its commitment to sustainability and community empowerment.
  • Marketing Collateral: Our team designed professional business cards, a brochure, and a branded letterhead that ensured consistency across all communication channels.
  • Company Profile: Finally, we created a detailed company profile that highlights the brand’s vision, mission, values, and product offerings, showcasing D’Esturi Coffee’s dedication to quality and sustainability.
